Since 2008 there has been a soup kitchen in the Vyborg District of St. Petersburg. This enables ADRA to deliver support to old, sick and handicapped people. Here they are given hot meals and food parcels.

In Mongolia, ADRA is helping herders to grow vegetables and fodder for their animals. This turns impoverished buyers into producers and sellers. This kind of support enhances people’s coping mechanism to handle natural disasters and to provide for themselves as well as for their livestock.

In the North of Thailand, ADRA helps poor ethnic minority groups. An integrated village development programme, based on a holistic approach, aims to improve the living conditions of people in a sustainable manner.

All across the world there are children who have to spend Christmas without presents . For this reason, every year ADRA launches the “Kinder helfen Kindern” programme. This involves children from all regions of Germany packaging up parcels for poor German and eastern European children who would otherwise have to celebrate this festival of love without presents.
