Health: Laos - Project-Number: 461011
Only the healthy can work, learn and shape their lives in a positive manner. However, good health is a scarce commodity in Laos, and a goal unattainable without clean drinking water. This need is what prompted ADRA to install water systems in villages. This not only reduces the incidence of illness, it also reduces the rate of poverty in the country.

Health: Albania - Project-Number: 113023
Healthcare provision in Albania is in short supply. Although in theory it is free at the point of delivery, many people only obtain treatment if they are able to pay. However, most of the population cannot afford to do so. ADRA has therefore set up a primary healthcare centre in the capital city of Tirana. Here, children are examined free of charge and – if necessary – are provided with the medication they require.

The qualifying races ahead of this marathon event are also serving to attract attention. The funds collected for this marathon will be put towards future awareness and prevention programmes.
